Miao ethnic compatriots in Leishan, Guizhou celebrate the Miao New Year and the Guzang Festival with singing and dancing, presenting the "amazing ethnic style festive vibe".

On November 16th, the 2023 China Leishan Miao New Year and the Guzang Festival (drum festival) opened in Leishan County, Qiandongnan Prefecture, Guizhou Province. "Miao New Year" is the grandest annual festival of the Miao people, a festive occasion that combines celebration of harvest and gratitude to heaven and earth. This year, the Miao New Year coincides with the once-in-13-years Guzang Festival, making it even more stunning.

The opening ceremony was lively and extraordinary, including a grand parade, intangible cultural heritage exhibitions, and a banquet with a thousand people at long tables. Both the Miao New Year and the Guzang Festival are national-level intangible cultural heritage!
